Demand Side Managment
In July 2005 Aria Professional Services and the Property Council of Australia were granted funding by the National Consumers Advocacy Panel for a project to investigate barriers to Demand Side Management in high rise accommodation facilities on the Gold Coast. DSM initiatives such as energy efficiency, load switching, distributed generation or power factor correction offer the potential for end users to save on energy costs and ease peak loading on network infrastructure during times of high demand. After consultation with Energex, Surfers Paradise was identified as the focal point for the study.
