Project: Barriers to Demand Side Management in Gold Coast Accommodation

Notes: Building on energy efficiency work in the tourism sector by Gold Coast City Council and in partnership with the Property Council of Australia and Energex, Aria successfully applied for a grant to identify barriers to the uptake of demand side management initiatives in high rise accommodation in Surfers Paradise. The project involved surveys of around 40 major holiday accommodation and hotel facilities and interviews with around 50 stakeholders.
